Training for Life

Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Training For Life website, app and coaching services ("the Service"), operated by Michael Byrne, a personal trainer based in Dublin, Ireland ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Training For Life provides workout tracking, training programmes, running plans, nutrition and habit tracking, progress tracking, and optional coaching services (online, hybrid and in-person). Some features are free; others require a paid subscription or session bundle. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. One account per person; accounts are personal and not transferable.

3. Health and safety

Exercise carries inherent risk. The programmes, plans and guidance in the Service are general fitness information and are not medical advice. Before starting any training programme you should consult your doctor, particularly if you have (or suspect you have) any medical condition, injury, or if anything in the health questionnaire (PAR-Q) applies to you.

  • Answer the health questionnaire honestly and keep us informed of any changes to your health that could affect your training.
  • Stop exercising and seek medical advice if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or anything that doesn't feel right.
  • Train within your own limits. You are responsible for choosing weights, intensities and exercises appropriate to your ability and environment.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions (such as Premium and coaching tiers) renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel. Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card details.

You can cancel at any time and your access continues to the end of the period you've paid for. Cancelling stops future renewals; it doesn't refund the current period, except where required by law. As a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription, unless you've asked us to start providing the service immediately and it has been fully performed.

Session bundles and credits for in-person or hybrid coaching are valid as described when you buy them. Sessions cancelled with reasonable notice can be rearranged; repeated no-shows or very late cancellations may forfeit the session credit, as communicated when booking.

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we'll give you notice before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

5. Free trials and promotions

We sometimes grant free trials of paid features. Trials are one per person, have the duration stated when granted, and revert your account to the free tier when they end unless you subscribe. We may withdraw or change promotional offers at any time.

6. Your content and data

You own the data you put into the Service: your logs, measurements, photos and messages. You give us permission to store and process it to run the Service for you, as described in our privacy policy. You can export or delete your data at any time from your Profile settings.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account, or resell, copy or redistribute programmes, plans or other content from the Service.
  • Attempt to bypass payment, subscription limits or security measures.
  • Use the Service to harass anyone, upload unlawful content, or interfere with the operation of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Profile settings.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under Irish law, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, the Service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee specific fitness results, uninterrupted availability, or that the Service will be error-free, and we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms. Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its programmes, content, design and software, belongs to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own training; it doesn't transfer any ownership to you.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute (this doesn't deprive you of protections you're entitled to as an EU consumer). Questions about these terms: michael@trainingforlife.ie.
